Terms and Conditions

Chapter 1 (General Provisions)

  • Article 1 (Application)

    1. 01.These Terms and Conditions shall govern the relationship between Adjustone Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") and the subscribers and users (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Subscribers/Users") of the JAPAN PREMIUM SIM service (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") and shall apply to all matters arising in connection with the use of the Service.
    2. 02.The Company may modify these Terms and Conditions as necessary without obtaining the consent of Subscribers/Users. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions shall be announced on the Company’s website or notified to Subscribers/Users through other appropriate means, specifying the effective date and content of the revised Terms. However, if the changes require Subscribers/Users’ consent under applicable laws, such consent shall be obtained in a manner prescribed by the Company.
    3. 03.In addition to these Terms and Conditions, other rules established by the Company regarding the Service (including service descriptions, pricing, help guides, notices, and other website postings, as well as notifications from the Company to Subscribers) shall constitute part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and such other rules, the latter shall prevail. Please review them accordingly.
  • Article 2 (Definitions)

    The definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions are as follows, unless otherwise defined:

    • [The Service]: A data communication-only service provided in specified countries or regions using eSIM or Physical SIM in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
    • [eSIM]: Technology enabling Subscribers/Users to use the Service through designated communication devices and SIM cards.
    • [Physical SIM]: (Definition to be provided)
    • [Service Agreement]: The contract between the Company and Subscribers/Users for the use of the Service.
    • [Subscribers/Users]: The party entering into the Service Agreement with the Company. Depending on context, it may also refer to applicants for the Service Agreement.
    • [Telecommunications Carrier]: Any provider (MNO or MVNO) contracted by the Company or eSIM providers to supply communication services under the Service.
    • [eSIM/Physical SIM Provider]: A business contracted with the Company to provide eSIM or Physical SIM for the Service.
  • Article 3 (Restrictions on Use)

    Subscribers/Users shall use the Service lawfully and solely for their own purposes.

  • Article 4 (Changes to Service Content)

    The Company may modify the Service fees or other aspects of the Service without Subscribers/Users’ consent. In such cases, the Company shall notify Subscribers/Users of the changes via the method specified in Article 5 (Method of Notification), and the revised terms shall apply thereafter (or from a separately specified effective date). Continued use of the Service after such notification shall constitute acceptance of the changes.

  • Article 5 (Method of Notification)

    Unless otherwise specified in these Terms and Conditions, all notifications from the Company to Subscribers shall be made in writing, via email (including SMS), phone, posting on the Company’s website, or other designated methods.

  • Article 6 (Subscriber Information)

    1. 01.Subscribers/Users must promptly notify the Company of any changes to their name, address, contact details, etc. (collectively, "Subscriber Information"), including due to corporate mergers or splits, using the method specified by the Company.
    2. 02.If Subscribers/Users fail to provide such notice, any correspondence sent by the Company to the previous Subscriber Information shall be deemed received at the time of dispatch.
    3. 03.If notice is provided, correspondence sent to the updated Subscriber Information shall be deemed received at the time of dispatch.
    4. 04.Subscribers shall bear full responsibility for any damages caused by failure to notify or providing false Subscriber Information, and the Company shall not be liable unless due to its own negligence.

Chapter 2 (Contract Procedures, etc.)

  • Article 7 (Application Procedures)

    1. 01.Applications for the Service Agreement shall be submitted by completing the Company’s designated form or online application, agreeing to these Terms and Conditions and important explanations.
    2. 02.The Company may reject applications if:
      • There is reasonable suspicion of potential violation of these Terms.
      • There is a risk of non-payment.
      • False information is intentionally provided.
      • Illegal or unethical use is anticipated.
      • Use may harm the Company’s reputation.
      • The applicant is associated with antisocial forces.
      • Other reasonable grounds for refusal exist.
  • Article 8 (Contract Formation)

    1. 01.The Service Agreement is formed when the Company accepts the application and notifies the Subscriber/User.
    2. 02.If service cannot be provided post-acceptance due to unforeseen circumstances not attributable to the Company, the Company shall notify the Subscriber/User per Article 5, with no liability for damages.
  • Article 9 (Contract Period)

    The Service’s contract period shall be as specified in the Service Agreement.

  • Article 10 (Service Fees)

    1. 01.Fees for the Service shall be as separately determined.
    2. 02.Subscribers/Users are obligated to pay fees from the commencement of service.
    3. 03.The Company may adjust fees due to tax changes or economic fluctuations.
  • Article 11 (Prohibition of Transfer)

    Subscribers/Users may not transfer any rights or obligations under the Service Agreement without the Company’s prior written consent.

Chapter 3 (The Service)

  • Article 12 (The Service)

    1. 01.The Service provides communication in designated countries/regions via eSIM or Physical SIM. Service quality may vary depending on the Subscriber’s/User’s device and SIM card.
    2. 02.Subscribers/Users assume full responsibility for their use of the Service.
    3. 03.Only Company-recommended devices and SIM cards may be used.
    4. 04.The Company, eSIM, or Physical SIM providers select the communication lines but do not guarantee optimal connectivity.
  • Article 13 (Disclaimer)

    1. 01.The Company shall not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or lost profit damages.
    2. 02.The Company is not obligated to protect stored data and shall not be liable for its loss or alteration.
    3. 03.No guarantees are provided regarding communication quality, technical support, or service perfection.
    4. 04.Subscribers/Users are solely responsible for third-party disputes and must indemnify the Company.
    5. 05.The Company is not liable for damages caused by force majeure or third-party infrastructure failures.
    6. 06.Advertised speeds are maximums and not guaranteed.
    7. 07.The Service may prioritize emergency communications or suspend service in congested/disaster scenarios.
    8. 08.Connectivity may be unavailable in areas with poor signal reception.
    9. 09.Roaming charges from unauthorized network connections are the Subscriber’s/User’s responsibility.
  • Article 14 (Communication Restrictions)

    The Company may restrict communications if usage exceeds agreed limits.

  • Article 15 (Subscriber/User Obligations)

    1. 01.Subscribers/Users agree to:
      • Assume responsibility for information obtained via the Service.
      • Acknowledge all communications as their own.
      • Comply with carrier/provider terms.
      • Maintain necessary equipment at their own expense.
      • Accept potential changes to service areas.
    2. 02.Prohibited actions include:
      • Infringing intellectual property or privacy rights.
      • Defamation, fraud, or criminal activities.
      • Distributing obscene or illegal content.
      • Operating pyramid schemes.
    3. 03.The Company may suspend or terminate service without notice for:
      • Violations of these Terms.
      • False registration information.
      • Insolvency or lack of response to inquiries.
      • Other inappropriate use.

Chapter 4 (General Provisions)

  • Article 16 (Termination of Agreement)

    1. 01.The Company may terminate the Service Agreement if its contracts with carrier’s/provider’s end.
    2. 02.Advance notice will be given unless urgent circumstances prevent it.
  • Article 17 (Subcontracting)

    The Company may subcontract parts of the Service, which Subscribers/Users preemptively accept.

  • Article 18 (Confidentiality)

    Subscribers/Users must keep non-public Company information confidential unless written consent is obtained.

  • Article 19 (Privacy Policy)

    The Company handles personal data per its Privacy Policy and may share it with carriers/providers as needed.

  • Article 20 (Governing Law)

    These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under Japanese law.
